From 5 to 17 Parma will take place in April 2011 edition of Cibus Tour, an event that offers lovers of good food and gourmet professionals the opportunity to learn, taste and buy wine and food excellence and innovation throughout Italy. In this journey through the flavors Made in Italy, Slow Food could not miss, which comes with "Po (r) co but Good", an exhibition dedicated to the production and consumption of pork.
Through lectures, photographic exhibitions, training initiatives and stand with a market and wine shop, Slow Food will be known to the public the variety of traditional Italian norcina focusing on quality and taste. With over 2,500 square meters of the association, in the market you can taste and buy fresh meat, sausages, salami and Italian cold cuts products - sometimes at risk of extinction - and wine lovers can taste over 600 labels enoteca.
The education programs will accompany adults and children the discovery of the pig, pig breeds from the knowledge of the techniques of slaughtering and preparation of meats, according to three key words of the event: "farming, processing, eat." Finally, the Teatro del Gusto will provide a unique opportunity to see great chefs at work, while the Taste Workshops will be possible to know the techniques and the cultural context in which comes a plate or a product, starting with a guided tasting.
